Hey Chuck,

That is good to know.  It is fine if the code is similar as long as it
isn't derived from their code.  I assume that the similarity is do to
the fact that the two codes are using similar algorithms.  Could you
confirm that this is indeed the case?

Also could you review the docstring edits that Alan made:

Finally, Alan wasn't able to document the  parameter `disp` for
ridder.  Could you please provide Alan with an explanation for `disp`?
