[SciPy-dev] Fwd: SciPy/NumPy website

I got this email a bit ago.  Kevin raises some good points...
especially changing wikipedia.   I am not sure about forums though.  I
think we might need more users before thats useful.

What do you guys think?

I noticed that you're part of the SciPy website team.  2 notes:

1. With all the great changes happening on scipy.org, maybe Wikipedia's
entry for SciPy and NumPy need an update.

2. Also, are there any plans for hosting some forums, especially for
newbie help on the website?  The Mailing lists might work fine for
development, but I think that an open forum where people can give and
get code advice could be useful.

Keep up the great work! I'm using it (and matplotlib) instead of Matlab
for an engineering project.
