Do you have wxWindows installed? If you do then this is a known 
problem, the wxWindows folks are working on fixing it. And, good that 
you remind me, in the mean time I need to add a workaround.

If you don't have wxWindows installed this is a new problem. I would 
like to see the output of "pythonw .../Lib/plat-mac/pimp.py -sv" run 
from the Terminal window.
