Thanks a million! Its working great so far. I'm impressed you were 
able to wade through their SDK's interface.

In case anybody is interested, I have some quickie BBEdit 
AppleScripts to comment and uncomment lines at 
<ftp://ftp.astro.washington.edu/pub/users/owen/> -- works for Python 
and some other languages.
