[Pythonmac-SIG] AppleScript -> Python

Hi all,

I'm converting some AppleScripts to Python, but I don't know
how to translate some AppleScript idioms:
 - the selected folders,
 - every folder,
 - ignoring,
 - in front of, before, etc.

Any help (or even better a pointer to a few sample files
illustrating that) will be greatly appreciated. Thanks a
lot in advance for the answers.
