[Pythonmac-SIG] Pmw on the mac?

I'm using Pmw on an SGI and a Sun and everthing works quite
well. I often do python work at home on my mac(G3), but Pmw
appears to have some serious problems on that platform.

I saw in the archive of this group that these Pmw problems
have been noted before. Is anyone working on Pmw for the Mac
or is it related to fundamental Tk shortcomings?

I'm not fussy about the 'look and feel',  the 
cross platform aspect is more important.
