[python-win32] win32 raw sockets problem

you did not say what os you attempted use the sockets on 
sounds like your problem is SP2 on windowsXP the "internet firewall and ICS service" prevents socket AF_INET, SOCK_RAW, IPPROTO_TCP and i think it filters out all IPPROTO_RAW data and some other stuff, it is said that if you disable the service everything turns back to normal however if your OS is 2000 this does not help
