[python-win32] newbie question: memory allocation

I wrote a small script for parsing a webserver log
file and store some values in a database. My test log
file has about 50,000 rows and I noticed that i took
much more time than expected (about 2 minutes). I ran
the script a few times and noticed that the python
process only uses 10388 KB memory (and even less
virtual memory). Is there anyway to let python use
more memory than that?
