My 2 cents: I see an issue here. A person will likely decide to attend or not also depending if their talk/paper/poster is accepted or not. If you close the financial aid right after the closure of CfP, people won't make it in time to request it. Is this intentional? As you may have guessed, this message was meant to be private and wasn't intended to be sent to a public audience. Unfortunately, when we replied to the person who emailed us, we intended to cc the organising team email address, pyconuk at uk.python.org. Instead we inadvertently cc'd python-uk at python.org, the UK Python email list. We're very sorry about this and apologise for the mistake, particularly to the person whose message and details were accidently shared. (I'm the conference directory this year; I'm posting from this account because the PyCon UK organisers' email address is not a member of this list.) There's no way to unsend the message, but if you feel you want to continue the discussion here, please take care to remove ?l?onore's details from any further messages. Apologies again. We've coaxed Nicholas Tollervey -- who started the Dojo 10 years ago -- out of retirement to host / cat-herd for us one more time. We'll be reminiscing about past Dojo laughs and disasters and, of course, having the usual Dojo collaborative coding mayhem. The Dojo will take place at Memrise [*] offices near Liverpool Street and we're especially grateful to them for stepping up at short notice when our planned venue had to pull out. The tickets are free and are available via the Eventbrite link above. If you haven't encountered the London Python Dojo before you can read about it here: http://ldnpydojo.org.uk/. But, in short, it's a friendly social coding event, open to peopl with any Python experience or none. (Seriously: we have people turn up and enjoy themselves who've never opened an interpreter in their lives). Please do come along and help us make our 10th anniversary enjoyable and fun. If you have any questions, tweet us @ldnpydojo or email the team: team at ldnpydojo.org.uk TJG [*] https://twitter.com/memrise
