Forwarded from our friends at Eko-konnect.

Are you an able pythonista wanting to give back and willing to support a
women in technology program across West Africa?

You may be interested in volunteering to join the facilitation team of a
series of 'Introduction to Python' modules in an online course on
Physical Computing developed by Eko-Konnect and the West and Central
African Research and Education and Network (WACREN).

You will need to have working knowledge of Python3, familiarity with the
Git version control system and the Linux operating system, preferably with
some experience working with a Raspberry Pi and/or an Arduino board but
this is not essential.

The course is self-paced with the learning path enhanced with two key
activities that facilitators moderate for a seamless experience.

As an instructor, you will have the opportunity to participate in the
regional Women-in-WACREN hackfest where the top-performing participants
apply the knowledge gained to a series of real-life practical challenges.
This will take place at the end of September 2019 in a West African country
to be determined.

We have a topical interest in female volunteers and encourage them to apply
but male volunteers are also welcome to contact us. If you are interested
in joining our team, please send an email with your CV to ‘
secretariat at eko-konnect.org.ng’.
