Spyder is spyder and python is python.

If you look at ipython console in your spyder window than you probably
see something like:

Python 3.6.0 |Anaconda custom (64-bit)| (default, Dec 23 2016, 12:22:00)
...

3.1.3 is latest version of spyder (and not very old (2017-02-20)):
