To get rid of the '\n' (lineend) characters:

with open(file1) as fh:
     ParametersRaw = [line.strip() for line in fh.readlines()]

or, more succinctly..

  with open(file1) as fh:
      ParametersRaw = [line.strip() for line in fh]

Comprehensions are your friend.
