http://wingide.com/opensource/httpsession helps supporting session data with
CGI on low traffic sites.

There are lots of Python based app servers...

Zope is the most popular but somehow overkill for small sites.

Cameron Laird had a page that summarizes all Python/Web related
technologies, but it's url is now dead.
