It is a good idea.  The hard part is keeping it up to date, so
that people don't get, for instance, 'wxPython leaks memory like a seive' 
when that problem was fixed years ago.  There is a wiki on python.org
which would be a good place to put this when you are done.  If you
are volunteering to do this, thank you very much.
