I came back to work only to find that my Python installation
had gone insane.
$ python
ActivePython 2.1.1, build 212 (ActiveState)
Python 2.1.1 (#20, Jul 26 2001, 11:38:51) [MSC 32 bit (Intel)] on win32
Type "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
>>> from distutils.core import setup

Reinstalling the other Python 2.1 produced the same result.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
