Todo.py

I noticed that at least some todo items at:

     http://www.python.org/cgi-bin/todo.py?req=all

seem to have been completed already. e.g. unicode support and lexical closures

Is there a better place to find the todo items for Python?
Know of any work in the area of optional static typing and/or compilation to
c/objective-c/dylan?
