Perhaps your shop, which sounds:
a) substantial
b) for profit

consider doing what has traditionally been done when a technical solution
requiring
an impled or express warranty of fitness is necessary - arrange to engage
an appopriate shop in that business to provide it.

Perhaps Guido is not in a postion to worry about whether dot.coms serving 1
million
pages a day decide to do the Python world a favor and use a Python based
solution.

I would hope he doesn't loose sleep over your problem.
