    You're making the mistake of trying to associate programming concepts to
real world objects.  

    I'm sorry, but that is why I said data is data is data.

    To give you a counter example when I write my pen doesn't toss up an
exception when I write out, "11 people are insane!" because it contains an
integer in a string context!
