I find many of the arguments persuasive, but I find it strange that we
keep coming back to language grammar issues. Surely we don't have to be
so parser/lexer purist that we aren't allowed to do hacks like
'print' 'to' --> special print_to token.

I'm probably being too language chauvinist any how as French speakers
won't like this any better than I do the awful C++ >>.

I agree that for multiple outputs we need an expression that has a write
method which internally can forward the writes to anything it likes.

I am convinced; after ten days of using it I will have entirely
forgotten that I hated not having statement delimiters as well. Where is
my comb structure now? Mumble.
