Python 1.5.2b1 is definately not the latest version, and very likely the
cause of all your problems. Try installing 1.5.2 'final' instead, and
perhaps the matching 'pythonwin' package (if you need it.) IDLE 0.4 comes
with 1.5.2, but 0.5 should run just fine, too.
