(The same holds true for a venereal disease. ;-)

Anyway, I guess it's a good thing GPL software isn't open source;
otherwise people would be able to figure out what the algorithms are,
then duplicate them in new code.  ;-)

But seriously, if the goal of GPL software really *is* to make it hard
*not* to write GPL, well...that doesn't sound much like "freedom" to me.
