Intellectual Property owners have been known to sell off (and even been
forced to sell off) some of their IP to those with fewer scruples.
(I've read of this happening to GPLed software where the new owners
attempted to revoke the license.)  The Python copyrights and service
mark both qualify as IP.

Lawyers cause FUD, causing more lawyers, causing an endless supply of both.
