If you have a look at `nm -g /usr/lib/libldap_r.dylib`, you'll see that _ldap_create_assertion_control_value is not exported, which breaks building against the system copy of OpenLDAP. This is (unfortunately) why I have not created any binary Mac OS X packages for Python-LDAP 2.4.x on PyPI.
