No; the distutils directory in the 'distutils' module and the
Lib/distutils directory in the 'python' module are the same because
they're symlinked together.  If you go to the CVS browser, you can see
that my recent check-ins are visible in that module:

(And you're now the first person to send a posting to the -checkins
list now that the Reply-To header has been changed. :) )
