@Barry: Yes, it's still a problem.

The ubuntu 10.10 python2.7 still has no multiprocessing.
Since the EOL is April 2012, it needs fixed.

It may be considered an invalid python bug, since it seems to be strictly related to Ubuntu packaging, but I thought the python maintainers should know.
