Initial Comment:
After installation of the .msi installer, pythonw.exe 
will not execute. Also, IDLE no longer appears 
anywhere.

If pythonw is started without an argument, it immediately quits.

How do you know that pythonw does not execute? It works fine
for me (and, indeed, IDLE is started with pythonw).
