Decided to uninstall the product.  I was concerned that 
ultimately spambayes was going to expose a port.  Have no 
other use for Python right now.

OK, I found it buried back in Tools/scripts .  What is the exact error 
message you are getting from setup.py ?

The error message is coming from setup.py.  Byteyears.py is 
also one of your files.
