Message-ID: <20190424194450.5yzqpvlonkm34xzu@hooch.localdomain> Heya, I might be a bit early since the CfP is not open yet, but hey, why not! Given that Europython 2019 is about 1.5h by train away from me and I'm finished with my studies/exams by then, I really want to go there again (finally, after not making it in 2017/2018!) \o/ I'm planning to submit another pytest training like the ones I did in 2015 and 2016 in Bilbao: https://github.com/The-Compiler/cfps/blob/master/2019-04-24-Europython.md Maybe I'll also submit a talk in addition to that if I can think of something nice, but we'll see! Definitely want to do more talks again, it's been a while since I last talked at a conference... Any other pytest-related plans? Oliver, do you plan to host another helpdesk like in 2017/2018? I would also love to assist you with your training (like helping participants during the exercises). Last year I had to leave early, but the two years before I organized a sprint (tox). This time I would also like to do that again but we could broaden the scope to pytest, tox [and pluggy] if there are also folks who are more into pytest that like to help. From my former experiences I am usually pretty depleted after a full conference week but still have enough juice to hang out at the sprint venue and help with onboarding new contributors, answering questions, etc. Cheers. Oliver P.S. good luck for your last tests! Feel free to add me there as well if you want: https://ep2019.europython.eu/faq/#How-can-I-add-another-speaker-to-my-proposal I won't be able to help much with organizing it (training + talk probably is enough :D), but at the conference I'll be happy to assist as well. > I would also love to assist you with your training (like helping > participants during the exercises). I'll definitely need some helpers again, thanks for the offer! Apparently the training rooms have a capacity of 100 seats, and at least 2015/2016 there were quite a few participants. > Last year I had to leave early, but the two years before I organized a > sprint (tox). If there are some qutebrowser users visiting the conference I might do a sprint on that, but if not, I'm happy to help out with pytest and friends! > P.S. good luck for your last tests! Thank you! However pytest itself does not. If pytest-dev takes this on, there is a need of slack aware/using maintainers that move this along (else its just going to painfully and slowly degrade) I encourage Interested/Invested parties to reach out so we can understand the bus-effects we need to consider. I believe this is a nice and useful addition, but we need to ensure that long term maintenance under the pytest-dev umbrella is a reality. -- Ronny Am Mi., 24. And I suppose that there will be such requests like, add the same for the "Telegram/Discord", and if this will happen, I would like to support it, and maybe rename pytest-slack to pytest-report-messengers. ??, 25 ???. 2019 ?. ? 17:05, Ronny Pfannschmidt : > Hi Arseniy, > > thanks for your proposal, > this is definitively useful for pytest users, which use slack. > However pytest itself does not. > > If pytest-dev takes this on, there is a need of slack aware/using > maintainers that move this along (else its just going to painfully and > slowly degrade) > I encourage Interested/Invested parties to reach out so we can understand > the bus-effects we need to consider. > I believe this is a nice and useful addition, but we need to ensure that > long term maintenance under the pytest-dev umbrella is a reality. > > -- Ronny > > Am Mi., 24. What will you submit to the channel? The complete log of the pytest run? Just the failed tests? The numbers of failed tests? I did not check the code but I suppose we can configure it.
