New issue 2859: pypy3 fails to install numpy
https://bitbucket.org/pypy/pypy/issues/2859/pypy3-fails-to-install-numpy
Ronald Lencevicius:
I know this has been mentioned before but it's been months and we still cannot use pip to install numpy.
```
#!bash
...
...
File "/tmp/pip-install-0cch5fqt/numpy/numpy/distutils/command/build_src.py", line 294, in build_library_sources
sources = self.generate_sources(sources, (lib_name, build_info))
File "/tmp/pip-install-0cch5fqt/numpy/numpy/distutils/command/build_src.py", line 377, in generate_sources
source = func(extension, build_dir)
File "numpy/core/setup.py", line 675, in get_mathlib_info
raise RuntimeError("Broken toolchain: cannot link a simple C program")
RuntimeError: Broken toolchain: cannot link a simple C program
```
I'm using latest version of pip on WSL Ubuntu 18.04. I've searched everywhere for solutions but at this point it just seems that pypy doesn't support numpy.
