[pypy-dev] why doesn't buildbot master sort (after I told it to)

I know this is not all that important, but...
It annoyed me that there is so much stuff on this page
http://buildbot.pypy.org/nightly
so I changed our buildbot code to sort by filesystem mtime, and put
trunk on top.
I tried it out by writing tests, and even installing a debug buildbot,
and creating some directories in my local ~/nightly

It works locally but not on buildbot.
Any ideas why?
