Hi again,

Anu, nice that you managed to get a table at PyCon-IN :)

I agree that it helps to have some structure to meetups but I would
like it to be somewhat free-flowing and not a rigid classroom type
atmosphere where women cannot ask questions. I assume a newbie to
Python would be more interested in learning the language properly by
creating (building) something. This is my personal opinion as I learn
better via practical application and its also why I am volunteering
with Anu - hoping to learn Django properly this time :P

That said, I'd love to resurrect the python-dojo meetups[1] on a
regular basis - it would be an open space for women to collaborate and
even if you miss a single meetup you can always attend next week. With
monthly meets, the disconnect (when you miss a single meet) is very
large and my fun project turns into a drag.

What do you all think?

Since you are not attending the conf, how about a meetup before the
conference? Yeah, Nagarbhavi and Kengeri are unknown areas for me too,
so are you comfortable with Domlur?

The CIS office is located near the Domlur club (iirc) and unlike a
company office (where you need to request permission, etc) they are
open to hosting Foss groups at short notice and its a great place to
meet people with common tech interests. How does the next weekend
(fri, Sat, or Sun) sound?
