So we have a page FreeHosts, a page NonCommercialHosting, a page OtherCommercialHosts, and a page SpecializedCommercialHosts. All of them end with a reference to PythonHosting, a page which does not exist. As a bit of cleanup I'd like at least to remove the link to PythonHosting, unless that's something we should resurrect from whatever dumpster it went into, and add an introductory line to those of the four that don't have one giving the definition of the category (specialized and non-commercial have one, free and other-commercial don't). It's well possible that this page was lost in the wiki attack some years ago (it redirects to PythonHosting). I'd love to dive in and help, but as someone with very much of a vested interest in what those pages look like, I probably am not the right person to do that. That said, something else I've noticed is that there appear to be a number of dead links.?? On FreeHosts: * Frihost times out * WikiWikiWeb.de gives a 503 error On SpecializedCommercialHosts: * INGATE occurs twice, as INGATE and Ingate * RSHosting occurs four times, as RSHosting, RSHostingUK, UK Reseller Web Hosting and Reseller Hosting.? The latter two link to 404 pages. * 30loops appears to go to a spam page * ZyrixHost goes to a domain registrar's holding page * Amaze goes to a recruitment company * Centada Python Hosting -- domain no longer exists * Computer Frontiers -- goes to a default Apache install * CornerHost.com -- goes to a spam page * Development Island -- has shut down * DjangoDomain -- domain no longer exists * Diginode Networks -- no page * High Speed Rails -- domain registrar's holding page * Hospedagem de Sites -- times out.? (HomeHost - Hospedagem de sites works, however) * Hub-Hub -- goes to a site that appears to be for creating websites with no technical knowledge, which is quite the opposite of what it used to be.? Apparently is pending renewal or deletion as of 2009... * Quaxim -- domain no longer exists * Dedicated Web Servers -- 404 page, root page on the domain does not respond * Sonologic -- has shut down * Wikihosting.nl - 404 on front page * UK Dedicated Hosting - PHP error * WebNet Hosting -- some kind of login thing on the front page A number of others went to 404 pages, but all had links that took you to what -- at a quick glance -- looked like a hosting company, so I've not noted them. I'd be happy to sort the above out if it's OK with you.
