Sure, you’re welcome to book an appointment with me here: https://app.acuityscheduling.com/schedule.php?owner=14130259&calendarID=2454396 or at least see my availability. I do have more options, that’s just what I make open for meetings.

Right now I am planning on attending both.

Elizabeth

Hi Elizabeth,

Thank you for your note!

Would you be able to set up a short call with us so we can get to know you better and answer any questions you may have?
I am fully booked until Feb 18. Maybe Trey has time to get in touch with you a bit sooner.

Are you planning to attend PyCon US 2020/2021?

Warm regards,
Anna

You are appreciated.
You are enough.
You matter.
You are not alone.

Hi!

I am interested in helping with the open spaces effort this year. I have attended PyCon twice (2014 and 2018). Last year I spent nearly the entire conference within open spaces, attending only three talks during the conference. I am active within the Python Education space and helping to cochair the Python Education Summit this year. The 2018 education summit was great, but the education conversations during the conference proper really only existed within the open spaces. They were vital for me and I was able to make several great connections and really shore up some important projects/relationships during the open spaces. I would likely not have pushed to attend PyCon 2019 without knowing that open spaces were happening again.

I am eager to see this continue, and understand that the care and upkeep of the open spaces boards and information are vital to keeping it sustainable during the conference. I will be attending PyCon this year, arriving on Wednesday to attend the education summit on Thursday, and then departing on Monday. So I will be around all day fri/sat/Sun to help with this effort.

I have done this sort of work in the past and find it a nice way to have some quiet time during the conference while still being a productive use of my time. I used to deep clean the office white board once a week to unpack from difficult projects, for example.

I have support and plans to attend PyCon in future years as well, and would be interested in discussing a future chair role if it is deemed a good fit.

I think I’ve hit all the info that you have requested, but happy to answer any follow up questions as needed.

Thanks for your efforts to keep PyCon awesome and universally valuable!
