[PyCon-greenroom] PyCon Speaker Information

Hey Mary,

1. Take a look at videos from last year to get an idea how bright the stage
lights will be: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l4Nn-y9ktd4

2. Yep, you’ll be able to see your slides. You’ll have your laptop on the
podeum, and the screens will be showing whatever your laptop is sending out
(either mirroring or extending the display)

3. Yep, we can make that happen! Just have her come by the green room
(109A) half an hour before your talk and we’ll get her set up :)

David

Hi!

First of all, thank you so, so much for all your hard work putting this
event together. I can't even imagine all that's involved coordinating an
event for this many people or this many speakers!

I have a couple questions, if you have a moment to answer at your
convenience:

   1. How bright will the stage lights be? Asking because the shirt I got
for my presentation is much brighter than expected and I'm worried I'll be
   fluorescent.
   2. Will I be able to see my slides from the presenter podium? Like, will
there be a screen in the back or something that's facing me and showing my
   slides as they come up?
   3. This might not be the right place to ask, BUT, my sister is going to
be in Portland this weekend and really wants to come see my talk. I was
wondering if there are any guest passes available either for speakers or
just for purchase so that she could come for my talk (1:10 on Sun.) and
leave immediately after. TOTALLY understand if this is not doable. If
there's another email address I should write to to get this answer, would
you be able to provide that?

Thank you so much!!

Best,
Mary
