From gslindstrom at gmail.com Sun Mar 2 01:51:12 2008 From: gslindstrom at gmail.com (Greg Lindstrom) Date: Sat, 1 Mar 2008 18:51:12 -0600 Subject: [PyAR2] WearPython.com is on the air Message-ID: I have put up a web page, www.wearpython.com, offering Python embroidered polo shirts and stuff. If you have a minute, take a look and let me know what you think. If you want to order something, please choose the Goggle Merchant payment option; it's the only one currently working! My wife and I are busy making the product for this years PyCon in less than 2 weeks (out house is awash with Python shirts). I'm looking forward to getting back to work on the group when I get back later this month. Thanks to PyR^2 member Chad Files for all his hard work on this (and look for Chad in the LR Marathon tomorrow). --greg -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... It came with Vista, which I do not care for, so I installed Ubunto 7.10. The problem is that Ubuntu does not like the video driver; it has flagged it as "restricted" and lets me know that it's not open source. The screen background covers the entire wide screen, but the menu bars (top and bottom) only cover the left 4/5s (or so) of the screen. The video driver appears to be an "Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945 Network Connection driver for Linux". What can I do to fix this? It is a very nice machine and I really want to use it for all it's worth, but the whole "driver" thing has always been a bit of a mystery to me (I'm just a programmer). Can I get this to work properly? Do I need to get an equivalent FOSS driver (and how do I know what to get). I have the Vista cd, but I really think it's best use is as a drink holder. First thing is to get a hosting service. --greg On Wed, Mar 19, 2008 at 8:13 AM, Chad Cooper wrote: > How about April 5th or 12th (both are saturdays)?? > > chad > > ------------------------------ > *From:* pyar2-bounces at python.org [mailto:pyar2-bounces at python.org] *On > Behalf Of *Kwadroke of The Wired > *Sent:* Thursday, March 13, 2008 9:41 AM > *To:* pyar2 at python.org > *Subject:* [PyAR2] Next meeting? > > When are we having our next meeting? > > -- > Tony Bates - Kwadroke of The Wired > Red Hat Certified Engineer > > Hot Springs Area Linux Users Group - hsalug.org > Little Rock Linux Users Group - lrlug.org > Central Arkansas Linux Users Group - carlug.org > Arkansas Linux Users Group - arlug.org > Arkansas Laser Tag - arklt.org > Kwadroke.com | Kwadrix.com > > *Notice: This e-mail may contain privileged and/or confidential > information and is intended only for the addressee.
