This schedule sounds fine, and shouldn't be a problem. Yes, just a plane
ticket is fine. I am huge advocate of Python and want to do anything I can
to spread the word and help user communities. The book I co-wrote should be
out in book stores on Sept. 2nd, but it is available on Safari now if you
have an account. Here is a simple Google App Engine page I setup that has a
link to a free Ubuntu Virtual Machine, source code, toc, etc.

Hopefully there is a reasonable way to get to and from the airport, but I am
