The system uses Python on the backend (via Ubuntu) and on the front end
JavaScript & Angular 1.x. The system is consuming a couple of APIs on the
back end as well.

Based on that information, my conclusion:

- Spread the word about the club.

I find that in most groups of this kind, only some minor percentage ever
shows up to anything.  If 15 people responded, and there are still X people
in the region who use Python, well, maybe we need to inform more people
(depending on X).

Other:
- No one is too busy to show up to a meeting only held once per month.
- If topics are too basic or uninteresting for a person, we probably want
that person to show up and wow us with some Python knowledge.  I know I
would!  My own experience of the group so far is that I'm pretty much wowed
by the expertise of the people in it every single meeting, and the projects
are in general quite engaging to think about.

You guys are a hidden gem.

- Did you learn Python in a College or University course in Nebraska?
- Did you learn Python from an online course? Which online courses?
- Are you a currently a resident of Omaha?
  - Is Omaha your hometown?

Some thoughts

I guess we could kick around the idea of moving the monthly to another day of the week. 

Regarding people not speaking because they?re not qualified, people certainly don?t have to be an expert on a topic to present on it.  We?re easy.  :-)

Can?t think of a topic?  How about web development, data pipelines, testing, security, automation, etc?  Doesn?t need to fill an hour or even a half hour

 Lastly, I think its pretty cool that the majority of responders use python professionally.

Longtime Kagglers will recognize that this competition objective is similar to the ECML/PKDD trip time challenge <https://www.kaggle.com/c/pkdd-15-taxi-trip-time-prediction-ii> we hosted in 2015. But, this challenge comes with a twist. Instead of awarding prizes to the top finishers on the leaderboard, this playground competition was created to reward collaboration and collective learning.

We are encouraging you (with cash prizes! <https://www.kaggle.com/c/nyc-taxi-trip-duration#Prizes>) to publish additional training data that other participants can use for their predictions. We also have designated bi-weekly and final prizes to reward authors of kernels <https://www.kaggle.com/c/nyc-taxi-trip-duration/kernels>that are particularly insightful or valuable to the community.
