That's nifty. Thanks!
I think the neighborhood map is great since when I try to load the HUGE-PDF
with legislative boundaries provided by local government it usually crashes
my web browser. My neighborhood shows these attributes on the screen:
NEIGHCODE:16
OTHERNAMES:Dundee (south of Dodge), Elmwood Park, Evanston
NEIGH:Dundee South (Elmwood Park)
neighcode_:16
white:4574
black:72
hispanic:190
other:326
pop2010:5162
pop2000:5488
pctchg:-5.9000000000000004
kids:2651
kidpct:19.199999999999999
How can that be translated into legislative information?
Why did someone put the maiden names of female voters[2] online? Why are
voters names, ages, and addresses[2] available on the Internet? How is
this a good idea? How can someone opt-out? Maybe a django site should
be built to make it easy for people to opt-out of this?
The crime property table does not seem to have any location information in
it. Is there a way to get locations?
How can I find out more about the open states API please?
Perhaps Matt Wynn can come chat with us about all of this data at the next
meeting? Matt Wynn, are you on this mailing list?
Thanks! --Matt Payne; cell: (402) 208 8787
