publishing it to launchpad in about 3 and a half mintues.

 A long time ago I gave a ChiPy presentation about packaging Python
applications for Ubuntu, working with deb-helper and Launchpad and all that
jazz.

As an update, just letting you know that Ubuntu has created a very friendly
tool that does a lot of this automagically:
