I've been testing quite a bit on windows recently, and I used to use
windows all the time.  I've found msysgit to be pretty good.   I
personally have always hated the windows shell, but you can use
msysgit from the windows shell if you prefer...

If you're OK with bzr or svn from the windows command line, I am sure
git will pose no major problems.
