[New-bugs-announce] [issue5546] PyDict_SetItemString mentions PyString_FromString which does not exist

Daniel Stutzbach report at bugs.python.org
Mon Mar 23 22:38:36 CET 2009

New submission from Daniel Stutzbach <daniel at stutzbachenterprises.com>:

The documentation for PyDict_SetItemString contains the text "The key
object is created using PyString_FromString(key)". However,
PyString_FromString has been removed in Python 3.

Perhaps it should read PyUnicode_FromString?
