[Neuroimaging] PySurfer installation problem

Dear PySurfer community,

I decided to become a fan of PySurfer after seeing the example gallery on the website. Thank you for the nice tool.

I’m using

Ubuntu 15.01
VTK 6.3.0
python-vtk through apt-get (5.1)
python and Mayavi using Canopy enthought
pysurfer through canopy pip
(also tried most recent git version)

Althought “pysurfer fsaverage lh pial” works perfect, an error occurs when running plot_basic.py from the example. 
Could you please comment on the problem below ?

X Error of failed request:  GLXBadCurrentWindow
  Major opcode of failed request:  150 (GLX)
  Minor opcode of failed request:  1 (X_GLXRender)
  Serial number of failed request:  48
  Current serial number in output stream:  49

— could you possibly comment on the optimal system settings for the PySurfer ?
