SIGs are mostly for activities "sponsored" by the PSF, so I'd suggest a
plain mailing list, which you can get by asking postmaster at python.org.
I suggest making sure you fill out the list description carefully to get
the kind of discussion you want (and you should certainly moderate
subscription requests, I'm getting lots of spam subscriptions on my lists
these days).
