[Matplotlib-users] Horizontal Waterfall time vs amplitude

I am attempting to plot a data stream in a waterfall which moves
horizontally.  My datastream has one point every 2 seconds.
I want to have datetime stamps in the display.

Like Figure 5-1 in
https://www.britastro.org/radio/downloads/Further_Developments_SDR_Telescope.pdf

Is this possible?
