I'm Jim Steil and I'm been using Python for the past 3 years or so. I'm
interested in learning more about Python and helping to promote it in
the Madison area. I live and work in Dodgeville but have spent the past
20 years working in IT in the Madison area. I have significant past
experience with the IBM AS/400 (and past President of the Madison user
group) and PowerBuilder. I'm currently a heavy user of TurboGears and
ReportLab. Looking forward to learning new things and sharing what I've
already learned. I attended PyCon in Dallas in 2007.

This last spring I went to PyCon in Chicago, where I found there was no user group in Madison, but plenty of advice on how to start one, so I am attempting to do so. Things have become a bit frenetic in my life, which has interfered with promoting the group, but perhaps some of you can help spread the word. :)
