The only problem I can see arises when none of your bugs are deemed "trivial".  :)

There's another school of thought that we should just fix them as they come in.  But fixing them in-bulk certainly gives me a warm fuzzy feeling. :)

Its a winner - well actually its not since there's a weight of
argument that says that the trivial ones are possibly the ones that
should get hit first, or at least most often - but out here in the
real world...

We've been doing this with a project (although some of the bugs turn
out to be not so trivial) and its been having a positive effect (-:
