Great!  I just approved you for the ip team as well.

I'm not an expert, but you can follow one of several routes:

- use the bzr svn plugin.  This will let you do imports of the svn
history with a fair bit of control.

- Register a branch for their vcs-imports team, typically the trunk.

Yesterday what I did was to use that one for the ipython svn->bzr
final move, and basically ditch all the svn tags.  Our svn repo is not
going away, so we can always refer to that for historical purposes.
And if there's ever a move to destroy the svn repo on scipy.org, we
can also convert the whole thing to bzr.

- Do an import from the raw svn repo.  I can run an svn dump of the
whole repo and put it up for you to download if you want to play with
things there (I can probably dump just the pyreadline part so it's
smaller).


In my case, I just went for easy: launchpad did the original svn
import of trunk for us, so it was the least amount of effort to start
from there.  Unless you really want to keep all branches and tags also
in bzr, that will get you off the ground quickly and with full history
(as I said, you can keep on referring to SVN for the foreseeable
future, and if anything ever changes there I'll let you know).

I think John Hunter was considering swinging by, but I'm not sure what
his final plans are, check with him.  I know some of the Enthought
guys will go, and perhaps Ondrej could make it, since he's not too
far.  I have too much other stuff going on, and no travel budget for
that kind of trip right now.
