Hello everyone,

I hope you are all doing well. I apologize for the delay in sharing this
week's updates. The weekly check-in call took place on Thursday, May 18th
at 8:00 pm IST. You can find the detailed minutes of the meeting here [0].
To keep this email concise, I will share some key updates below.

*Keynote Speakers*: We have confirmed three keynote speakers so far:
- Kailash Nadh [1]
- Jessica Greene [2]
- Shailesh Kumar [3]

We are still in the process of securing a fourth keynote speaker and have
sent invitations to Pablo Galindo Salgado [4]. In case he declines, we have
backup options in place.

*PyCon India Logo*: The final version of the PyCon India logo has been
announced earlier this week [5].

*Venue*: As mentioned previously, we are pursuing HICC as the venue for
PyCon India 2023. However, the budget quoted exceeds 1 CR, so we are
actively negotiating and exploring more cost-effective alternatives. The
other options currently being considered are:
- JNTU
- Address Convention
- Marriott

*CFP*: The issues related to the CFP junction have been resolved, and the
latest version can be found here [6]. We plan to announce the CFP on
Monday, May 22nd.

*Website & Sponsorship Prospectus*: The website and sponsorship prospectus
design is still in progress by Webchirpy. We anticipate their completion by
the upcoming weekend.

*Immediate Priorities*: We need to finalize the venue as soon as possible,
as there has been a delay in this aspect. Once the venue is confirmed, we
will commence our sponsorship efforts. Our goal is to begin ticket sales in
early June, depending on the progress of the above two tasks.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions, feedback, or
suggestions.

Regards
Sanchit
