[Inpycon] Social Media Workgroup Meet - 16th April - MoM

Hi Everyone,
We had our first social media workgroup meet on 16th April and below are
the meeting notes -
*Attendees - *
- Satyakaam Goswami
- Purusharth Saxena
- Marmik Doshi
- Elangovan Manivannan
- Sanchit Balchandani
*MoM / Action Items -*
- The primary mode of communication for SM Workgroup is decided as
WhatsApp
- The primary mode of communication of SM volunteers would also be
WhatsApp (both groups would be separate)
- Satyakam Spoke about general Dos and Dont's of Social Media
- Hashtags to be used are #pyconindia2018 and #pyconindia
- Sanchit/Chirag currently has access to PyCon India SM accounts,
everyone else in the SM workgroup would have access as well and access may
be given to selected SM volunteers(if needed)
- A guideline document has to be created for SM Volunteers
- Invite SM Volunteers to join SM Volunteers WhatsApp group
- Sanchit to coordinate with the design team for any related requirements
- Explore any third party scheduler app, which can be used for scheduled
posts
- Prepare templates for the following type of posts -
- Keynote speaker announcement
- Speaker announcement
- Sponsor announcement
- Create an Event on FB, and make sure it gets required visibility on
other Top Event hosting websites
- Once volunteer group is formed, do a couple of days drive to promote
the fact that PyCon India is happening in Hyderabad this year, since people
still may not be aware of it.
- Send an email to PyConIndia mailing list, initiating discussion on
doing Facebook/YouTube live for the event this time (only for opening and
closing keynotes)
We will have a recurring SM workgroup meeting on Hangout in every 15 days
and we will be sharing hangout link a day before the meeting. Any SM
volunteer or interested folks are welcome to join this call.
Please advise in case of any suggestions/issues or if someone wants to add
anything here.
