Most places offering travel grants generally have a policy like reimbursing
an amount maximum upto 3AC/2AC of the train fare. The difference is borne
by the traveller. It makes reimbursements easy and provides incentives to
speaker to make bookings timely thereby avoiding payout of any expensive
last moment tickets. This definitely seems to be a great initiative if the
cost and budget allows.
